the beach is wow!!! nice, long beaches and the waves are big!!! definitely much bigger than the tiny-puny ones we see in singapore.
i miss the kids there. i miss the life there.
everyday, after the 'work' that needs to be done for the day, i will go to the field to play with the kids. cricket, volleyball, baseball, throwing-ball, cycling, singing, etc. all of them were so much fun.

the things that ive learnt there 1. ive learnt to count 1-10 in sinhala!!! wahahaha. nothing great la. but quite cool. erm, i think. 2. ive learnt how great it is to have thai fragrant rice to eat. i will treasure them. the rice in sri lanka is oh so not nice!!!! got a pungent smell!!! bleah 3. i will never buy a bike that is too high that my legs cant reach the ground (haf to tip-toe) 4. how good it is to haf clean water. (2 days of no water supply in matara) =l 5. learn to write very fast (sign autographs, write addresses) 6. learn to smile and wave wherever u go. hahaha 7. brush up on nursery rhymes, need to sing with them 8. never bend down when a wave hits u. it can be dangerous (nearly swept away) 9. dun try to race or play very competitively with people younger than you. (you can die of exhaustion) okie. be serious 10. nv waste money. a few dollars or even lesser can make a kid very happy. 100 SGD per month is more than enough for a family of four to survive over there.
some haf intentions to drop out of sch to work to keep their family going. a shirt that we buy, a meal that we eat, will be enough for them to haf 10-15 proper meals.
